red wagon.

I love how parenthood justifies being able to dress up for Halloween again, buying the gigantic Crayola crayons, and snacking on Goldfish during church. But it's especially cool to be able to get those things that you always wanted...but never had. Like a Glow Worm or motorized Jeep. Cole's lucky because I was a pretty cool kid, which has made reliving that childhood through being a mother to Cole--turn up things like cool shoes and cool stuffed animals. Probably number one on my list of things Cole must own is a Radio Flyer wagon: the real deal, steel and wood, red, red wagon {with an extra long handle for easy pulling}. Classics are good.

My year of motherhood has taught me several things, including the fact that Radio Flyer not only makes classic red wagons, but amazing bikes, cars, rocking horses and...walker wagons. {Look here to view the specialty line.}

Grandma Kay surprised Cole on his big one year old birthday with the perfect gift that has become a quick favorite of ours. He pushes it and loads it with blocks and sometimes climbs inside. It's sturdy and quality and gets an A+ for sleek design. Maybe not the typical weekend purchase, but definitely a worthwhile splurge for birthday, toy storage turned toy, or...just feeling reminiscent of 25 years ago. {You can buy one here.}

  1. There is something so great about going back to the classic toys. I love Radio Flyer. Isobel is into pushing things around and towing them behind her too.

  2. We are in the market for a classic red wagon to take Avery down to our pool in. I just picture her sitting in it on a sunny day heading down to the pool filled with the rest of our pool "stuff."

    Cute gift for Cole!
